Menachem Mendel Davis, MBA, CRPC®, AIF®
Chief Executive Officer
Mendel provides strategic leadership and oversight as a Director of the Company. In this role, he sets the firm’s long-term vision, drives innovation across all lines of business, and leads initiatives that position Nova at the forefront of modern risk and insurance solutions. He oversees enterprise-wide operations, growth strategy, and market expansion, with a particular emphasis on building high-impact partnerships, fostering a client-first culture, and delivering customized solutions in an evolving risk landscape.
With a career that spans private wealth management, institutional financial services, and public-sector financial planning, Mendel brings a unique blend of experience to the insurance and risk advisory world. His previous roles, ranging from Vice President at The Einstein Group to Assistant Vice President at JPMorgan Chase and Wealth Advisor at Raymond James, have given him deep insight into the financial needs of both individuals and businesses.
Mendel holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and currently serves on multiple organizational boards. His leadership is grounded in a commitment to innovation, strategic growth, and helping clients navigate complex risk environments with confidence.
Lainston International Management, Ltd. – Brad Fisher, CPA
Lainston International Management, Ltd. is a licensed insurance manager regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). Lainston provides insurance management and director services to Nova, supporting all aspects of Cayman insurance operations—from initial structure formation and establishment through ongoing regulatory, governance, and day-to-day management. Working with Brad Fisher, Lainston guides Nova through compliance with the Cayman Islands Insurance Act and Companies Act, ensuring adherence to regulatory and operational best practices.
Brad Fisher brings extensive offshore experience in fiduciary services and insurance management. Prior to relocating to the Cayman Islands, he served as Manager, Commercial Banking at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he oversaw commercial banking and finance relationships across multiple branches in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Brad contributes deep expertise in management, team leadership, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from St. Mary’s University in Nova Scotia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) licensed under CPA Canada.
Kevin Poole, ACII, CAMS
Kevin is a Non-Executive Director of Nova. He has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry and has worked in the UK, Bermuda, Guernsey, and the Cayman Islands, with experience spanning insurance brokerage, insurance carriers, and captive management.
Kevin is currently located in the Cayman Islands where he has been working for close to 20 years. He spent four years working for the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and has also worked in the captive management industry where he was more recently Director of Business Development at Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman) Limited. In this role he has helped many corporate clients from numerous industry sectors establish captives, cell company and ILS structures.
Kevin has been a member of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) Executive Committee and has acted as Chair of the Cayman Islands Forum Committee. He was the inaugural recipient of the Captive International award for Captive Manager of the Year (Cayman) in 2020 while he has also been rewarded by Gallagher as a top salesperson at Artex.
Kevin is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Finance & Underwriting Team
Bartolome Massot, FCCA, CPCU
Bartolome provides underwriting oversight to advance the company’s mission of delivering innovative, client-focused insurance solutions. Bartolome brings over 20 years of global expertise in insurance and financial risk management. He shapes Nova’s vision, ensuring tailored risk solutions for U.S. and Latin American clients through Segregated Portfolio Company (SPC) structures, while driving operational excellence.
Bartolome’s career centers on insurance and financial risk management. He previously oversaw Bermuda operations at Artex Risk Solutions, a leading insurance manager, where he managed complex captive programs and developed risk financing strategies, leveraging SPC structures for cost efficiency and robust coverage. At Appleby Global Services, he advised insurance and fiduciary clients on financial risk management and regulatory compliance, enhancing governance frameworks. His work includes leading transformation projects in insurance, focusing on risk management and operational resilience across industries such as defense and hospitality.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Bartolome is a recognized industry leader. He taught financial accounting at Bermuda College (2018–2019) and served as Treasurer of the Bermuda Captive Network (2023–2024), advancing captive insurance strategies. Bartolome’s deep insurance and risk management expertise drives Nova’s success, delivering innovative solutions to clients.
Ryno Daniels, CA (SA), CPA, CPCU
Ryno is responsible for the financial stewardship of the company overseeing corporate finance, capital strategy, compliance frameworks, and enterprise-wide financial planning. He plays a critical role in driving fiscal performance, safeguarding regulatory integrity, and supporting Nova’s long-term growth through disciplined risk management and operational excellence.
A qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa), Certified Public Accountant (CPA Bermuda), and Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Ryno brings a wealth of global financial expertise spanning insurance, financial services, and technology. His career includes leadership roles at PwC (South Africa and Sweden), Artex Risk Solutions, and Acumen Management Limited, where he successfully managed complex, cross-border finance and compliance initiatives.
At Nova, Ryno is a key strategic partner across all verticals ensuring that financial rigor, transparency, and innovation remain core to the company’s mission.
